Prayer Points 2026

This week, let's listen, too.

This week, we invite you to consider spending part of your time in silence with the Lord.

Bring a passage of scripture, ask Him to speak to you through it, and wait, listening. (E.g. Ps. 28:1 “To You I will cry, O LORD my Rock”—Ask, “Jesus, what is the real cry in my heart?”)

4 Prayers for the Church and Revival

Prayer to the Lord of the Harvest

Father, Lord of the harvest, we come before You with willing hearts. Your Word says the harvest is great but the laborers are few. Raise up believers in the city of Ottawa—men, women, and youth—filled with Your Spirit, grounded in Your love, and bold in witness.

Send them where hearts are ready and Your light is needed. Open doors, soften hearts, and prepare the way for Your gospel. Strengthen and protect missionaries, pastors, evangelists, and all who labor for Your kingdom.

Thank You for calling, equipping, and sending us. May Your kingdom advance, and many come to know Jesus.

Prayer of Repentance and Refreshing

Father, we pray that the Church will repent and turn to You so our sins may be wiped away and times of refreshing may come from Your presence. Cleanse Your Church of sin, wrong attitudes, and paths not of You.

Thank You for forgiveness that restores joy. Renew our minds, revive our spirits, and strengthen us with Your presence.

Daniel’s Prayer (Adapted)

“Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant of love… we have sinned and done wrong.

Give ear, our God, and hear; open Your eyes and see… We do not make requests because we are righteous, but because of Your great mercy.

Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, act! For Your sake, my God, do not delay.”

Prayer for Bringing Good News

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the good news of peace and salvation that You bring. Just as Your Word says, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news,” we ask that messengers of hope rise up in our city. Let Your truth be proclaimed in every street, every home, and every heart.

Lord, may our city hear the voice that says, “Your God reigns!” Establish Your reign here—over our leaders, our communities, and our families. Break every chain of oppression, injustice, and fear. Let righteousness and peace embrace in this place.

Father, cleanse us as You commanded, “Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing.” Purify our city from corruption, violence, and division. Make us holy vessels for Your presence, carrying Your glory with humility and love.

We trust Your promise that You will go before us and be our rear guard. Surround our city with Your protection and favour. May Your light shine so brightly that darkness cannot remain.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We lift up our doctors, nurses, and all medical staff before You. Lord, grant them strength, endurance, and wisdom as they serve the sick and vulnerable. Refresh their spirits and protect their hearts from weariness.

We pray that Christian medical workers will shine as islands of peace and encouragement, reflecting the love of Christ in every interaction. May their words and actions bring hope and comfort to those in need.

Prayer for Resources

Father, we ask for an increase in healthcare resources. Open doors for more doctors and nurses to be hired and establish practices. Make a way for new Canadians who are already trained to be accredited quickly, so they can serve with their skills.

Lord, we bring the backlog of surgeries before You. Please clear these delays so that those who are suffering can receive timely treatment. Restore health and bring relief to every patient waiting for care.

Finally, we pray that everyone will have access to a family doctor. Let no one be left without the care they need. Guide policymakers, administrators, and communities to work together for a system that reflects Your compassion and justice.

We trust You to go before us and make a way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
